Minerva Virtual Academy is very excited to welcome PGA Professional Golfer Martyn Thompson as our latest MVA Athlete Ambassador.
This comes as part of MVA's ongoing mission to live up to our claim that we are the best school in the world for elite young athletes, providing a system of learning that accommodates their careers, and experienced voices who understand their specific challenges.
Martyn brings a wealth of knowledge from nearly 30 years as a professional sportsperson, as well as a passion for supporting the next generation of sporting talent. We're thrilled to have him on board.
Martyn had this to say about the announcement:
I am hugely honoured to have recently been approved as an Ambassador for MVA, Minerva Virtual Academy. As an award winning online independent school for children aged 11-18 it has, in my opinion, been designed and built brilliantly for a more up to date and modern way of life.
Whilst giving all children a world class level of education and support, it allows them and their families to enjoy a more flexible and satisfying way of life, giving them more quality time to develop other aspects of their life, whether it be sport, music, travel or simply just family. MVA has created a rounded education programme that complements the British education system whilst enabling aspiring youngsters to improve outside skills at a faster pace, anywhere in the world.
In a short space of time I have been hugely impressed by the level of education, mentorship and care that the school provides to their students. As a Professional golfer and coach of over 30 years I see this as an incredible opportunity for any child wanting to spend more time in their chosen sport or field of excellence. Children and parents alike have been crying out for this type of learning platform and I believe it can only continue to develop and grow as the modern model for children to achieve their full potential in these important years. I very much look forward to recruiting, welcoming and helping future youngsters fulfil their dreams and ambitions.
