MVA on Notts TV: A Fresh Look at Online Schooling with CEO Hugh Viney

Last month Minerva’s Virtual Academy had the pleasure of being featured on Notts TV, where our CEO Hugh Viney made his first live television appearance since 2023 — joined by MVA teacher Jennie Harrison.

Broadcast from the vibrant city of Nottingham, the interview offered viewers a behind-the-scenes look at how online schooling really works at MVA. Hosted by Emma Caldwell and Mariangel Acosta, the conversation touched on key topics such as how students learn in a virtual environment, the role of our teachers, and why more families are turning to online education as a flexible, future-focused alternative.

Hugh and Jennie shared insights into the unique structure of our school — from live lessons and our Virtual Learning Platform to the mentorship and community that support every student. Their discussion shed light on how MVA is helping students thrive by offering a different way to learn that’s more personalised, less pressured, and highly engaging.

👏 A huge thank you to the Notts TV team for hosting such an insightful conversation.
